i think i was the only person who got a tattoo by them that day
and i came in with no expectations
they had some flash ready and of all the flashes, i thought the lightbulb was the cutest
i wanted it on my left arm because my left arm is pretty useless
like in zumba, i can turn right but when i turn left i fuck it all up
i wanted the value of my left arm to rise
so i let kai handle the placement, etc.
and laid there reading a book
it was a horror novel because it was october
afterwards, i was v happy
and then i was like, i really let some 18-year-old give me a stick-n-poke
lol
weird flex but ok
but tats are artwork you allow someone to put on your body
and there’s significances to the experience that i took away
- lightbulb, on and off, good and bad ideas
- support trans kids doing their art thingz
- you put value into whatever you’re getting tattoo’d, but the tattoo artist matters just as much. so support them, support their work, support yourself!
