I’ve gotten a tattoo. It’s a little lightbulb on my left arm that cost $35 and was done by an 18-year-old named Kai. I don’t know why I got one. I saw Kai tweet a picture of a stick-n-poke tattoo they did on themselves and I told them I would pay for them to tattoo me. And then they put up an event where they were doing tattoos, so I contacted them to get one done. I showed up and the transaction was made.
The lightbulb was the best option of all the $35-tiered flashes they had – besides a foot with a bandage on the ankle, but I didn’t want to be completely stupid and get a foot on my arm. I laid on a couch reading The Summer of the Ubume while Kai stuck me with a needle for an hour and, when I got up to look at it, their friends beckoned me to show them first and I was like, bitch, does it look like I got this tattoo for y’all annoying asses?
I studied it in the mirror and no ragrets, I’m pleased as hell. I like to imagine it turning off and on to all my ideas. If it’s a good idea, homeboy can like… get it. If it’s a bad idea then yeah no it’s quiet for him.
Rosie and I went to see the Rich Brian concert at the Fonda last night. 3/10* would recommend you wait until the day of to try and get a ticket for $15 vs. the $37 face value I paid. Don Krez was funny and so drunk he had issues being coherent; DUCKWRTH was a great performer and had a sick fit; and Rich Brian was what you expected – awkward, half-baked, and still had the crowd eating out of his palms. Rosie and I got K-BBQ for post-concert feast and I got back to my place around 1:30 a.m., promptly washing up and crashing.
The Princess Nokia Show Was Postponed To Next Year. Yes, I Am Disappointed. But I Will Go On. Postponed Shows Are More Hype. So It Is Okay.
My roomlord’s wife and I had a nice conversation in the kitchen that left me pouring sweat for no reason, but we’ve decided to go on morning jogs together, every other day. Is that not the most wholesome thing? I’ve also come to appreciate oatmeal for breakfast and quinoa as a rice substitute. This adult thing is kind of cool.
I know I never end these on a very sensical** note. I hope your week’s going well. Make good decisions!
*; I really had to edit this post and lower the rating from 4/10 to 3/10. Your opening should not be better than you and you should not go on a nationwide tour with only five songs and three verses. The disrespect!
**; “Sensical” is not really a word, but these are the liberties I take on the English language as a writer. I make up words all the time. I’m Shakespearean. Thanks. Don’t worry about it.
