18. liberation

Work is stupid and people are stupid, but it was a good Sunday. I’m getting the hang of the metro system and I can’t stop saying how much I love it. I went to visit a friend in Long Beach so I took the gold to purple to blue and back with no issues. I had such a nice time just chilling and talking and feeling cool. Actually I was really cold coming home and two complaints I had for myself: packed too much shit and BITCH bring a jacket next time.

On the metro I listened to a woman in security uniform talk shit about another woman who, allegedly, has a body so flat and curveless it’s a wonder how it got to look that way. I got to the ending of The Private Life of Plants and stopped because it was becoming over-contrived. I was so happy to get home. Riding the gold like, yes, only 30 more minutes.

When I got back, Sad Gal Riri tried convincing me (again) to move somewhere else with her or buy a fridge for the room with her or care more about the family we live with with her. I’m like, Nah son, ain’t nobody got time for that. I think she might try to break her lease in September and that’s okay with me. She can’t hang. We get along well, but she acts like we’ve known each other for years and she keeps talking in heavy-handed hypotheticals which include me. Plus she once straight up lied to me to gauge how okay it’d be for her to break her lease a day after signing it so, yeah, no.

I’m still a contrarian.

I have to download photoshop and illustrator tomorrow.

I have to fix my resumé and apply for jobs and do things I’ve written on a sticky note.

I want to work at A24 and watch Good Time.

I’m excited for the new Brockhampton album.

This upcoming week I have work Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Yay. Thursday and Sunday fun days. I will take myself seriously this week so I can have more successful days like today.

I’m conquering my lip-picking tendencies this month and next month I’ll conquer my compulsion to wash my hair every day.

I want to watch less videos. Read more screenplays.
